Free Agency in the National Football League is upon us and Running Back LeGarrette Blount may be in the middle of it.

The New England Patriots are interested in resigning Blount, but reportedly at a discount forcing the former Oregon Running Back to likely head toward the path of Free Agency. Blount is coming off his best season at the Professional level rushing for over 1100 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2017 helping to lead the New England Patriots to a win in the Super Bowl.

Blount did not see much of the field in the Playoffs however. He played in just three games and picked up just over 100 yards as New England turned to Dion Lewis and James White to carry the load in the post season.

If LeGarrette Blount does not return, it may open the door for Adrian Peterson in New England, who would have an opening at the Running Back Position. It is early in the process and I expect that Blount will end up going back to New England to see if he can help the team get to another Super Bowl. Back to back may have a nice ring to it.
