Pac-12 Tournament: Arizona State Advances, Faces Top Seed Oregon Ducks
The Arizona Wildcats needed overtime to defeat the Stanford Cardinal on Wednesday and will meet the Oregon Ducks on Thursday in the Pac-12 Tournament.
Stanford and Arizona were tied at the end of regulation. The game saw the Sundevils come through in the end and shoot 56 percent from the floor. The Cardinal went cold finishing the game hitting 2 for 8 in a 10 point loss 98-88 in Las Vegas.
Arizona State had three players in double figures led by Obinna Okela with 27 points. He was 8 for 13 from field goal range and was among 4 Arizona State players to hit all of their free throws. Oleka was a perfect 9 for 9 for the game. ASU is a dangerous team. They lost to by one point to Oregon in Eugene last month.
The Ducks and Sun Devils will be meeting for the second time this season, on a neutral court. You can believe that ASU will give it everything they have to try and defeat the number one seed in the Pac-12 Tournament. Oregon enters well rested, coming off a Sunday win at Oregon State and come in on a six game winning streak and the possibility of a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament on the line.
