Oregon Football made an offer on Wednesday to 5-Star Houston Texas Cornerback Anthony Cook.

Charles Clark and Jim Leavitt put together a solid Recruiting Class in 2017, and are looking to the Oregon Football Class of 2018. Since Willie Taggart was hired, looking to the future of the Program has become a new normal. Getting into the minds of potential future Oregon Football Players is the new battle that the Oregon Ducks are quickly catching up on.

On Wednesday, Oregon Football offered a Defensive 5-Star Cornerback out of Texas. Anthony Cook is the top ranked Cornerback in the Class of 2018 according to 247Sports. He is considered the second best athlete at his position and second best in the Lone Star State.

In watching Cook on film, it’s not hard to see why he is a special player. He has size and speed and at times it appears the ball is being thrown to him. He uses his athleticism to get behind the opposing Wide Receiver and make a play. In one series, he stayed home and took out the Running Back. Wherever he lands, the coaching staff will not have a ton of work to do – his instinct for the ball is already there.
