Oregon Ducks, David Peterson Top Washington, Move to 2nd Place Tie In Pac-12
The Oregon Ducks put on an Offensive show on Friday as David Peterson won his fifth straight game.
The Washington Huskies took an early lead, but that did not concern the Oregon Baseball team on Friday night. It was the first of three games vs Washington. Oregon Starter David Peterson threw six strong innings scattering six hits, but giving up three runs. The Ducks had four errors in the game as one earned run went against Peterson on the night.
Kenyon Yovan threw the final two innings giving up a hit and earning a save with the 4-3 win. The Oregon Ducks Offense came together at the right time. Oregon saw seven hits with Gabe Matthews coming through with 2 hits and 3 RBI’s. The errors for Oregon came on double play balls where the relay from second came up short on two occasions. The Ducks had one successful double play.
There were opportunities for both teams. Oregon left six runners on base, the Huskies left seven. Leadoff hitter Kyle Kassar and cleanup batter Jake Bennett each had a hit and a run scored. The bottom of the lineup saw one hit from Daniel Patzlaff.

The Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies meet for Game 2 of the three game series on Saturday at 7pm Pacific Time from PK Park. The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network.
