NCAA Final Four: Oregon Ducks Face Rebounding Monster In North Carolina

The Oregon Ducks bring hot shooting into the Final Four against a well prepared team in North Carolina who has been here before.

For Roy Williams and the North Carolina Tar Heels, Saturday night in Phoenix will be old hat. This exact moment in the season they have seen more than a handful of times. UNC brings with them the best rebounding team in the country this season. 1 Seed North Carolina meets 3 Seed Oregon for a chance to get to the Championship Game.

The Oregon Ducks have faced a lot of competition that shoots from the outside this season. Perhaps the closest team to North Carolina is Arizona, who Oregon took care of in Eugene. Kennedy Meeks had 17 rebounds against Kentucky last weekend and Jordan Bell will likely be the main Duck responsible for him.

Speaking of Jordan Bell, he has been a one man rebounding machine for the Oregon Ducks so far in the NCAA Tournament with multiple games pulling down 12+ rebounds. If there was a game this season where they needed Chris Boucher – this is it. Unfortunately he is out with an injury and his replacement Kavell Bigby-Williams will have to play his best game of the season and get the ball on Defense to help balance with Bell.

North Carolina will also be concerned with finding a way to shut down a pretty potent Oregon Ducks Offense, led recently by Tyler Dorsey who has eight games with 20 points or more. Dillon Brooks is always an Offensive threat and even Payton Pritchard has shown he can throw a solid assist as well as score in the month of March.

The Oregon Ducks and North Carolina Tar Heels meet in Phoenix a the Final Four on Saturday at 5:49pm Pacific Time on CBS.
