The Oregon Football team opened Spring Practice on Wednesday and fans can mark their calendar for the one Non-Conference road game for 2017.
Wyoming announced the game time for their matchup with the Oregon Ducks on September 16th. The Cowboys are used to having the National Spotlight and will have it once again throughout the 2017 Regular Season. Last season there were nine games, most on ESPN. The same will be true this season with CBS Sports Network broadcasting the matchup with Oregon Football.
While Wyoming lost Running Back Brian Hill to the NFL Draft, one player to watch will be Quarterback Josh Allen, who could have easily left by way of the Draft after the 2016 season. He is one of the driving reasons for the Cowboys interest starting in September. The matchup with Oregon is intriguing.
While the Ducks have the talent returning with Royce Freeman, as well as an experienced Offensive Line, the team still had just 4 wins last season. There are a few tuneup games for Oregon at Autzen Stadium before the trip to Laramie. Willie Taggart will have his team ready by the time September rolls around, which is sooner rather than later.
