Oregon Football received a commitment from Running Back Travis Dye, the brother of Sophomore Troy Dye.

Travis Dye is the first commitment for the Class of 2018 for Head Coach Willie Taggart and the Oregon Ducks. Running Back is a key position that will need to be filled starting next season with the departure of Royce Freeman. Freeman is entering his senior season and looking to make a healthy impact entering the NFL Draft next May.

The younger Dye was on campus over the weekend for Junior Day according to the Oregonian and made his commitment via Social Media. It appears that Taggart has his priorities in line for the upcoming recruiting class. He may have a big piece of the Offense next season in the fold with the announcement from Travis Dye.

Dye is a three start recruit and held an early offer from New Mexico . He was beginning to show interest from Michigan and Texas. Oregon Football has seen siblings together on the roster before, most recently with Ty and Taj Griffin. Both saw the field together, at least in practice. Last season Taj Griffin played behind Freeman and Kani Benoit before suffering a season-ending injury.
