The success of the last two seasons of Oregon Basketball would not have been possible without Tyler Dorsey, who will finish his college career after two seasons.

The Oregon Ducks Sophomore announced on Twitter on Monday that he is declaring for the NBA Draft and will hire an agent. Dorsey started the 2017 season having an up and down year, but ended the season on a tear averaging 20 points per game for the final nine games of the season including the NCAA Tournament.

Dorsey stepped out over the last few months of the season, but I am not sure he will be among the sixty chosen in the 2017 NBA Draft. It is worth a shot. He deserves to get paid. The wait is now sooner to being over for two other Oregon Ducks.

Both Dillon Brooks and Jordan Bell will soon announce their intent for next season. With Dorsey departing, it opens up a roster spot. With the late signing period opening up this week, Head Coach Dana Altman now had some likely options to fill the void of Dorsey’s Departure.
