Oregon Ducks Win Fifth Straight Entering Showdown At Arizona
Morgan McCollough had a two-run double after an early score by Portland as the Oregon Ducks took care of the Pilots 6-1 in a rainy game at PK Park.
On the mound, Oregon was solid. Cole Stringer gave up the lone run and started the game. He picked up the win as five relievers did not allow an earned run in a total of five innings pitched. Stringer walked one and struck out five Portland batters through four innings of work.
Morgan McCollough led with his bat and the team with three hits for the Oregon Ducks. As a team, Oregon hit .269 while holding the Portland Pilots to .103 at the plate. Portland left 7 batters on base while Oregon stranded 3 on the night.
