Former Oregon Football Tight End Pharaoh Brown was not a headline in the NFL Draft, but landed with a team via Free Agency on Saturday.

Pharaoh Brown has seen and been through the gamut of emotions as a player in College. A devastating leg injury nearly ended his college career. He was resilient in his rehabilitation and returning to the field for his Senior Season last year. While his numbers were not spectacular in Oregon’s 4-8 season, he found a way to the next level.

It was the first year since 1985 that an Oregon Football player was not selected in the NFL Draft. Brown signed a Free Agent contract with the Oakland Raiders following the Draft. He will see the NFL, or at least a practice field. He has the size and strength to become an everyday player but also carries the burden of a college injury and some potential character issues from his time with the Oregon Ducks.

Pharaoh Brown was impressive at the NFL Combine pushing himself to the limit and bench pressing 225 pounds more than any other Tight End participating.
