Oregon Ducks Shutout By Loyola Marymount For Seventh Straight Loss
Oregon Baseball has lost seven straight games including a 4-0 Shutout at home to Loyola Marymount Wednesday.
The Oregon Ducks showed spunk this season, but there are just two main series left in the year. It appears that Oregon will not make the postseason as their Offense continues to sputter toward the end of the year.
Wednesday night was just another example of how rough the last month has been. The Oregon Ducks have had the opportunity with players in scoring position over the last few weeks, but they have not been able to turn those base hits into critical runs. Runs that could have led to a postseason berth easily. What hurts even more, Starter David Peterson has been electric all year. He has ten wins on the season and broke the season Strikeout Record-setting a new mark against Washington State a few weeks ago.
Loyola Marymount came to PK Park to take on Oregon and came away with a 4-0 win. James Acuna game up three runs in the first inning, but the Ducks again found Offense but were unable to plate any runs. Kyle Kassar saw his 20th multi-hit game of the season going 2 for 4 in the leadoff position.
