Oregon Football: Former Quarterback Terry Wilson Jr. Lands At Junior College
Former Oregon Football
Quarterback Terry Wilson has found a new home in Garden City, Kansas.
It wasn’t too long into Spring Practice that Quarterback Terry Wilson decided that the Oregon Football Program was no longer for him. The competition would have been solid entering the Spring Game if he stuck around, but he was granted his release by Willie Taggart and recently found a new home with one of the top JUCO programs in the Nation in Garden City.
For Wilson, the decision to leave Oregon was not easy. We spoke with him the week before he left and he was happy. He was working with coaches as if everything was fine. He was ahead of Freshman Braxton Burmeister on the Depth Chart, but early on it was clear that Justin Herbert was likely the leader that Taggart would turn to.
The Oregon Head Coach has still not named his Starting Quarterback. He will let things play out in Fall Camp. Herbert managed his part of the Spring Game well throwing three touchdowns going 16 for 26 through the air in the game.
For Wilson, once he gets a year at Garden City under his belt, he will have an opportunity. Terry Wilson has three years of eligibility remaining and should work his way into a landing spot at a top program.
