Oregon Football has been busy this weekend with several new offers on the table, including one for a big area of need, Tight End.

Head Coach Willie Taggart is again on the Recruiting Trail and it is clear that he is getting down to business helping to build the Future of Oregon Football. On Sunday Taggart sent an offer to Tight End Luke Ford.

The 4-Star Tight End recently decommitted from Arkansas and within two days of that decision Ford has picked up several offers including Oregon and Baylor.

ScoopDuck caught up with Ford who spoke highly of the Ducks, “Oregon is a great school, I’m looking forward to learning more about them and getting to know them better. I’d like to hopefully check them out this Summer depending on how our relationship develops.”

Tight End could be a bit of a juggernaut for the 2017 Season for the Oregon Ducks. The team graduated role players Pharoah Brown and Johnny Mundt leaving a lack of experience. Oregon will move Matt Mariota to Tight End to work with Cam McCormick for the upcoming season. Taggart has been known in his Offense to feature the Tight End. This will be one area worth watching in Fall Camp to see how things develop.

Ford is slated to visit with LSU in the coming months. Whether he makes it out to Oregon is not known. 247Sports believes his landing spot will be Oklahoma, but with Bob Stoops retirement, that may also change.

One thing that Willie Taggart is known for is building relationships. Oregon has been on the early end of key commitments for the Class of 2019, but will the Ducks be able to build that relationship with Ford fast enough for him to give the Oregon Ducks a look?
