Oregon Football and Willie Taggart picked up a big commitment on Wednesday with the flip of Notre Dame Commit Braden Lenzy.

Lenzy is one of the coveted in-state recruits that almost got away. Taggart has long had the philosophy at h you have to lock up your home state of you ar going to be successful on the recruiting trail. The 4-Star Wide Receiver announced his commitment to the Oregon Ducks on Twitter.

247Sports lists Braden Lenzy as the number three Wideout in the State of Oregon. He was visited recently by Matt Lubick. He had been committed to Notre Dame since February. Entering the 2018 season, the Oregon Ducks may be in need of Lenzy at Wide Receiver with Darren Carrington entering his Redshirt Senior season and Charles Nelson entering his final year with the program.

With Lenzy in the fold, Oregon Football has seven 4-Star Recruits, two more than in the 2017 Class. That number easily gives the Ducks a Top 15 Recruiting Class for 2018. Oregon Live points out that he is also the number eight Athlete in the Class of 2018.

One big piece of the puzzle for Willie Taggart and his staff is finding spots for Athletes to play. Since his arrival, he has added more than a handful in the ‘Athlete’ category. You can bet these players will find a place on the football field this Fall.
