Oregon Football and Head Coach Willie Taggart suspended Wide Receiver Darren Carrington on Saturday following a Drunk Driving Arrest.

The month of July is not off to a very good start for the Oregon Ducks. Early Saturday morning Darren Carrington was arrested for DUII after he collided with a pole at a McDonalds in Eugene according to the Register-Guard. Following the Spring Game that saw Carrington catch three touchdowns from Quarterback Justin Herbert, it appeared he was heading in the direction of a new beginning with the new coaching staff.

Following his arrest, he was suspended indefinitely by Head Coach Willie Taggart who said he would wait for all the details to come to light before making any further decisions on Carrington’s status. After deciding to return to Oregon and not take a chance following 2016 to enter the NFL Draft, this is part of a bigger picture that is Darren Carrington.

The fifth year Senior was suspended in his Freshman year for the National Championship Game for a supposed failed drug test, that also cost him the first eight games in the 2015 season. He returned to help the Oregon Wide Receiver Corps finish the season on a positive note.

Darren Carrington had his bail posted and will have a court appearance on July 21st.
