Former Oregon Football Quarterback Marcus Mariota was impressive in a Saturday Scrimmage, so much so he made his Head Coach forget the next play.

The excitement around the Tennessee Titans Practices entering the 2017 season is palpable. The team is heading in the right direction. Marcus Mariota has returned to form after a broken leg sidelined him late last year. On Saturday the team held a scrimmage inside NIssan Stadium. It was the first time Mariota returned to the field since last December. He made it a point to put the past behind him.

According to the Tennessean, Mariota scored on a two yard touchdown run on a goal line play that was ‘so good’ it made Head Coach Mike Mularkey forget the next play.

"It was so good that I got so excited that I forgot to run the next play. We were supposed to have another goal-line play. I went right into the two-point play. It was good to see him out and the play executed so well.Tennessee Head Coach Mike Mularkey on Mariota’s Return (via The Tennessean)"

Marcus Mariota spent quite a bit of the offseason in Eugene, rehabbing his leg at the University of Oregon. He was spotted more than once at Oregon Spring practice keeping an eye on the quarterbacks and also checking in with his younger brother Matt Mariota who is expected to contribute this season at Tight End for the Oregon Ducks.

The former Oregon Quarterback has also found a new favorite target in Eric Decker. The two are building good chemisty early in camp in the hopes that it translates onto the field in 2017. Decker will have some added motivation during the NFL Preseason. The first team the Titans face this weekend is his former team, the New York Jets.
