Marcus Mariota had a brief but successful Start on Saturday vs New York, but the pregame festivites were totally Marcus.

The first week of the NFL Preseason is here and some teams are already dealing with injuries. Tennessee Titans Quaterback Marcus Mariota finished 2016 breaking his leg and has spent the offseason getting better and on Saturday night was back on the field, but briefly.

Mariota was 2-3 on two possessions completing a pass for 15 yards and also taking a sack and getting right back on his feet. While Tennessee lost the game 7-3, the team had a less than expected experience at Met Life Stadium that saw 30,000 empty seats watching a game that the home team actually won.

While the Titans know who their Starting Quarterback will be, New York cannot say the same. Christian Hackenberg had the easiest job of the night going 18 for 25 agianst a pared down Tennessee Titans Defense, but rumblings in camp may keep t he former Penn State QB on the bench in 2017.

Marcus Mariota showed his true personality that Oregon Fans grew to love just before he took the field. He met with a young fan for a moment that made his day,and probably his year. He chatted and took pictures with his family, if just for a moment stepping out of the game of Football.
