When Brady Hoke left Oregon Football, he left the Defense in shambles as one of the worst units in the Country, but it wasn’t all his fault.

Hoke was hired by Mark Helfrich to come in and try to get the Oregon Ducks to be better. After taking a look he decided to shift the Scheme from 3-4 to a more Pro Style 4-3. Only the personnel he had did not fit what he was attempting to do. It left gaps, in some cases, big gaps to allow big runs and passes from the Opposition putting Oregon Football toward the bottom of the Statistic Page, well below 100 for most of the season.

Brady Hoke was hired by Tennessee as the Defensive Line Coach. His new position is more out of the spotlight, but the job is a step back from where he was, but it is also more focused. With the Defensive Line, the Vols appear to have depth. Hoke has said he hopes to rotate at least 10 players in the first game of the season.

It also appears that Hoke is not afraid to play Freshman at Tennessee. While at Oregon, Troy Dye became an immediate Starter for Oregon Football last season and quickly became a household name for Oregon Fans entering 2017.

Brady Hoke can’t do worse than he did with Oregon Football, working with a team as Defensive Coordinator to a close to worst Defensive unit in the NCAA last season.
