Oregon Football is looking for their first winning streak under Willie Taggart and there are a few things they need to do against the Nebraska Cornhuskers to get there.

Last weekend, Oregon rolled over Southern Utah racking up over 700 yards of Total Offense. In fact, Oregon leads the Nation in the Category after putting up 11 touchdowns and 77 points. They picked up points right out of the gate with Running Back Tony Brooks James running back the opening kickoff for a touchdown. Taggart and the Ducks may need another Special Teams play on Saturday against Nebraska.

While it is clear that the Run Game is the strength of the 2017 Oregon Football team, it is really the Offensive Line that makes the Oregon Offense what they are. Mario Cristobal has his guys working efficiently and fundamentally. Defensively it was clear there would be growing pains, and we knew that. Defensive Coordinator Jim Leavitt was able to hold Southern Utah to just 21 points and also found a +2 in the turnover column after one game. Not a bad day at the office.

Nebraska brings with them a Coach that knows Oregon Football. Mike Riley returns to Eugene, but not for a Civil War. His team now had to come across the country rather than an hour down I-5.

Can Oregon maintain their momentum on the ground and can the Oregon Defense continue to make plays on Saturday?
