Oregon is off to a solid start, but needs to keep the momentum and Royce Freeman rolling in Wyoming.

Oregon Football is looking to get off to a fast 3-0 start to the season, but there will be a big road test visiting Laramie, Wyoming on Saturday. Three things to watch are very similar to last week. The Oregon Offensive Line must win the battle up front against the Wyoming Defensive Line.

Over the last two weeks, Oregon has the number two ranked Offense in the Nation and up front they are doing a better job protecting Quarterback Justin Herbert. Last season, Herbert was sacked more than a handful of times. So far in 2017 he has had time to get passes to his Wide Receivers and has been taken down just once by an opposing Defense for a sack.

Oregon has built momentum up front to also open up lanes for the Running Backs led by Royce Freeman. The Senior has rushed for over 300 yards and 6 touchdowns in two games and is in line for several records this week. If he manages four touchdowns against Wyoming, he will take the top spot in scoring at the University of Oregon currently held by LaMichael James.

Freeman returned for his Senior Season after Head Coach Willie Taggart spoke with him about his role after he was hired in December. Since then he has become a proven leader on the field and has also been more vocal around his teammates and the media during both Spring and Fall Camp.

Special Teams has also played a role this season. Tony Brooks-James opened the year with a kickoff return for a touchdown against Southern Utah and the Ducks should see a big play on Saturday against Wyoming on the road. With a loud, hostile crowd it would be good for Oregon to spring for a big kickoff return early and get the momentum from the start of the game.
