The matchup this week has Oregon Football hosting Washington State and the Cougars Offense is not nearly as efficient as the Ducks.

According to Dave Bartoo from College Football Matrix, Oregon is the 7th most efficient team in the nation for Scoring Offense entering Week 6. Defensively, Washington State enters with the 75th best scoring Defense. If you take out the first week of the season for the Cougars against Montana State, the come in at 96th against the Oregon Ducks.

If you flip it around, Washington is the 32nd best Scoring Offense in the country while the Oregon Ducks Defensive scoring efficiency is 63rd, which is vastly improved from a season ago. The Ducks are getting turnovers and also getting to the Quarterback with more efficiency this season then either of the last two seasons.

The Oregon Statistics are dependant on Quarterback Justin Herbert, but the numbers also consider the power of the Ducks Running Game. Bartoo believes that whoever is at Quarterback this week for the Ducks, if they can complete short passes, they can be effective. He sees a 35-33 win for Oregon Football over Washington State this week.

Looking ahead, Bartoo also talked about the Stanford Cardinal. Despite a rough start, the Cardinal are 2nd in Offensive Efficiency. With Bryce Love racking up yards on the ground, the matchup next week should be intriguing for Oregon on the road especially with the Ducks Defense showing improvement every week.
