The Oregon Ducks travel to UCLA in two weeks for an early afternoon kickoff, which should be a relief to Oregon Fans.

The trend of night games for Oregon Football is coming to an end, at least for a short time. On Monday it was announced that the Ducks will face UCLA on the road for a 1 pm Pacific Time Kickoff on Pac-12 Network.

The first year for Head Coach Willie Taggart started on a high note at 3-0, but Pac-12 Conference play gave the Ducks their first loss. A season of promise has turned somewhat into a season where the injury bug has made his presence felt. Against Cal, Oregon lost Starting Quarterback Justin Herbert…for a while. Taggart turned the the ball over last week to Freshman Braxton Burmeister.

The Freshman struggled in his first start and was unable to find much rhythm with his Offense. The injury bug also took away his top Wide Receiver in Charles Nelson. After a solid start, much of the Nation has had the chance to see the Ducks with kickoff times after 5pm Pacific Time. This week is similar, with a kickoff at Stanford set for 8 pm on Fox Sports 1, but after this week Oregon will finally see an early afternoon tilt in Los Angeles.

Oregon Football begins this week at 4-2,1 -2 in the Pac-12 Conference. The Ducks will look to get back to .500 in Conference this week against a Stanford team who are rolling after a road win at Utah. Taggart faces back to back weeks on the road and wins may be hard to come by.

The positive is the Oregon Defense, which is playing with more efficiency and more effectiveness than the last two seasons combined. Oregon returns back to Autzen on October 28th to host former Wide Receiver Darren Carrington and the Utah Utes. I expect the storylines alone will make this game a late afternoon/evening kickoff. We may know more next week.
