Jordan Bell Scores Eight Points In Golden State Warriors Season Opener
Jordan Bell played on an NBA Floor for the first time Tuesday in a one-point loss to the Houston Rockets.
The Golden State Warriors had a battle down the stretch with the Houston Rockets. Draymond Green left in the second half with a knee strain and the Warriors had a 12 point lead. Houston jumped back into the game and led the 4th Quarter with a 12-2 run.
Jordan Bell had a rough night with four fouls but hit a nice ally-oop from Green midway through the third quarter. It was reminiscent of all the shots he had at Matthew Knight Arena last season for the Oregon Ducks. Bell worked through the Summer and made the Opening Day Roster for the Warriors.
Bell posted a solid stat line. He hit 4 or 5 field goals along with a rebound and an assist in 11 minutes. He did not play in the fourth quarter with four fouls.
The storyline of the night for the Warriors was NIck Young who seemed to hit every shot in sight for Golden State. He was 6 for 7 from three point range and 8 of 9 on field goals. In the end it was not enough.
Houston was down by as many as 17, but went on a 10-3 run in the last three minutes to come away with a one point win, 122-121 on Tuesday night. Kevin Durant had the final shot of the game, but was still on his fingertips as the buzzer sounded. The shot did not count giving the Rockets the win.
