Jordan Bell is making an early name for himself just a handful of games into his first season in the NBA.

Last night, he was at it again. He scored 9 points in a blowout win over the Dallas Mavericks to help get the Golden State Warriors back to the .500 mark.

The highlight of the game was not the performance of Steph Curry who had 29 points in 31 minutes, but the former Oregon Duck pulling off a play he did regularly at Matthew Knight Arena last season. Bell hit an alley-oop back to himself for a slam that put the Golden State Bench into a sense of shock – and he was fouled on the play.

Bell has played the part of the sixth man in the first four games this season for the Warriors. He has found success on the floor, starting his career with eight points last week vs Houston and averaging four points in four games.

The moment on Monday night belonged to Bell and the highlight made the rounds. It was the ‘Play of the Day’ on the Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday morning, His teammates would probably prefer the Rookie to be a tad more reserved in his first season.

Of course, when you have a 30 point lead, a moment to shine in your own light for a moment is not necessarily a bad thing. At the College Level, it happened night after night with Oregon Basketball last season, but the player was different. The rotation included Chris Boucher, Dylan Brooks, plus Bell and anyone who was open.
