Kelly Graves and the Oregon Women’s Basketball team was impressive against CSUN forcing 11 turnovers in a season-opening win.

The Oregon Ducks faced Westmont earlier this week and the turnover battle was just that – a battle. It was ugly in the first half, but Oregon came away with an exhibition win. On Friday in the opener of the Preseason WNIT vs CSUN, the Ducks cleaned up the problem forcing CSUN Guard Terrin Sullivan into 10 turnovers while committing just 9 as a team. The Matadors added 20 more aside from their Starting Guard.

Offensively Sabrina Ionescu showed off the offseason chemistry she has built with the team pushing no-look passes to teammates and helping Oregon to 45 percent shooting while the Ducks Defense held CSUN to 27 percent from the floor and just 23 percent from beyond the arc in a 91-43 win.

Ionescu put in 15 points and was 5 for 11 on the floor and 3 of 6 beyond the arc. Oregon has 23 steals and was very efficient on Offense with 23 assists. Freshman Satou Sabally added 10 points off 5 for 10 shooting. Oregon got plenty of time for players as Graves played nearly everyone.with 12 players seeing action and all but one getting points on the board for the Ducks.

A strong point from last season, the Ducks Bench had 38 points. Oregon also moved the ball well with 22 fast break points.
