Former Oregon Football Defensive Coordinator Brady Hoke Named Interim Coach At Tennessee
Brady Hoke has landed as the Interim Head Coach for the Tennessee Volunteers.
Last season was rough for the Ducks finishing 4-8 and much of the blame falling on then Defensive Coordinator Brady Hoke, who took a mediocre Defensive Unit and made it worst. At the end of the season, he was let go along with the rest of the Coaching Staff following the firing of Mark Helfrich.
Hoke found a new home Coaching the Defensive Line in Tennessee, who has struggled this season. Following a blowout loss over the weekend at the hands of Missouri, 50-17, Butch Jones was fired and Hoke found himself in the role of Head Coach of the Tennessee Volunteers, it is expected to be on an interim basis.
The Volunteers are 4-6 on the season and in his introductory/weekly press conference on Monday, Hoke acknowledged the student athletes work ethic saying the focus is to win the final two games for the Seniors on the the team. They are still within reach of a 7-6 season with a solid finish and the chance at a bowl game in 2017.
Hoke has previous Head Coaching Experience at Michigan and has also spent time as a commentator for Sirus/XM Radio before taking the Defensive Coordinator position with Oregon last season and spending this season with Tennessee.

Brady Hoke will likely not be the long term answer as the feelers are already out and the rumor mill is spinning for the Volunteers. The former Michigan Head Coach has two home games to close out the regular season against LSU and Vanderbilt.
