The Oregon Ducks have seen a lot with Head Coach Dana Altman and he approaches a career milestone on Friday night.

Oregon Head Coach Dana Altman has seen a lot in his coaching career. He has helped build quality teams both here and elsewhere and Friday night he could see his 600th career victory as a Head Coach. The team the Ducks face is Alabama State. After getting the season started last week, Oregon is 2-0 so far on the young season. The challenges remain with team chemistry and Defense.

For some reason, these two challenges always appear for Altman and the Coaching Staff, but they always seem to sort themselves out when the games begin to really count. This season, in that aspect, is no different. There are more pieces to the puzzle as players can play multiple spots on the floor so finding the right ‘mix’ on the floor will work itself out over time.

The Alabama State Hornets come into Matthew Knight Arena still looking for their first win of the season. This is their fourth straight road game with recent losses to South Dakota State and Iowa. Steve Rogers and Terrance LeFlore are leading the team in scoring. Rogers hit five three-pointers against South Dakota State.

LeFlore was a key player off the bench with 13 points. Jones is hitting 46 percent from beyond the arc.

For Oregon, the Ducks are starting to put their game together. Troy Brown has shown he can do it all from score to share the ball. Elijah Brown started the season well but has been somewhat hesitant to take a three-point shot and is passing the ball instead. In key moments this season, that three-pointer could become a big momentum changer in a key game.

Oregon will be playing in several key games next week with Georgetown and potentially Michigan State matching up in the Phil Knight Invitational in Portland. Expect Altman and the Staff to continue working out the kinks on Friday night vs Alabama State.
