Oregon Football: Royce Freeman Set For Final Game At Autzen Stadium
Oregon Football Running Back Royce Freeman has quite the list of accomplishments and is looking forward to his final Civil War.
While Oregon Football breaks briefly to celebrate Thanksgiving, Running Back Royce Freeman is preparing for his final home game at Autzen Stadium on Saturday in the Civil War. Freeman is one unique Oregon Duck. He has seen three different coaching staffs, played in a National Championship game and been through the ups and downs of Mark Helfrich and the upswing from now Head Coach Willie Taggart.
Freeman has played a lot of football and has taken over the University of Oregon History Books on more than one occasion this year. He is the All-Time Rushing Leader and was a Doak Walker Semi-Finalist this season. Freeman is a competitor and is ready to go against Oregon State, “We can’t take anyone lightly. Finishing out the season right is what we’re focused on this week.”
The Oregon Senior has seen a lot of Civil War games and has taken a competitive spirit into each game, “what the fan bases bring to the Civil War game. It’s something I like to play in every year.” As far as his favorite Thanksgiving Dish, he included everything, “I just put gravy on everything. I know it’s bad but I enjoy it.”
Freeman will have an additional game with the Reese’s Senior Bowl in January and he talked about the importance of being invited, “It means a lot. It’s very prestigious. I’m very appreciate to be invited to that type of bowl game.” The Senior Bowl is January 28th.
