The Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball team faces Oklahoma as part of the Phil Knight Invitational.

Oregon lost to Connecticut last season in the NCAA Tournament. The Huskies beat Michigan State as part of the Phil Knight Invitational before the Ducks met Oklahoma. The game will be a good early test for Head Coach Kelly Graves and his team.

The Sooners are 3-1 on the year, averaging over 92 points per game. For the Ducks, 85 points per contest. Oregon comes into the game with a 4-1 mark. Oklahoma has some solid scorers with three players putting up better than 15 points per game. Vionise Pierre-Louis Maddie Manning, Gabbi Ortiz, and LaNesia Williams are putting up eye-popping numbers. The trio is averaging over 50 points per game and shooting over 47 percent from the floor and 45 percent from beyond the arc.

The Oregon Offense also has some key players putting up points. Sabrina Ionescu has two triple-doubles already on the season. Ruthy Hebard has shown she can get the ball inside and score and picked up right where she left off last season.

Oklahoma pushes the pace early and Oregon needs to keep pace or set the pace. The Sooners are averaging 45 points in the first half in 2017-18.

Right now, Hebard is the hot hand for Oregon. Over the last two games, she is shooting over 85 percent from the floor with several perfect performances from the floor. For the season she is 72 percent inside the circle and should be an effective force against Oklahoma.
