The Oregon Ducks face their biggest challenge at home vs Boise State without Troy Brown.

The Oregon Men’s Basketball team will play on Friday night without one of their most talented players. Freshman Troy Brown left the game against Oklahoma. Head Coach Dana Altman said he was okay, but on Thursday it was announced he would miss the game vs the Broncos due to concussion protocol.

It has been a rough stretch for the Oregon Ducks losing two of three games in a competitive environment in the Phil Knight Invitational. Last season, the team entered December on a similar stretch with struggles in Hawaii

but found a way to turn it around to get all the way to the Final Four. This season, Oregon has leaned on new talent and players that can play multiple positions on the floor. However, foul trouble and ball control have been issues that the 2017-18 team is still trying to get sorted out.

On Friday night vs Boise State, they will have to do it without one of their most talented and productive players, Troy Brown Jr. Brown has played in all 7 games this season, earning a start in each. He is averaging 11 points and 7 rebounds per game and the Ducks will have to turn to their bench to find the answer.

One likely candidate who has International Experience is Abu Kigab. He has key minutes off the bench and was putting in the minutes in practice on Thursday during media availability. Roman Sorkin was also getting floor time after not playing much after the first few games this season.

Payton Pritchard also has a big supporting cast with Paul White, Kenny Wooten, Elijah Brown, and MiKyle McIntosh. Head Coach Dana Altman has options, but the team has to play better vs a highly experienced Boise State team.
