The Oregon Ducks received a Notice of Allegations earlier this week from the NCAA focusing on issues in Track and Field,  Men’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball.

It is important to note that in all instances the University of Oregon reported the respected instance to the NCAA and also followed up with what was done to self-impose a correction.

Oregon Track and Field has the biggest alleged infraction. A student athlete’s grade was changed from Failing to Passing so they could compete. According to the Daily Emerald the athlete was Jasmine Todd. She had a grade changed from an F to a B- with the understanding that the coursework would be completed later. The issue was handled internally and her degree was rescinded.

The Men’s Basketball Program has three infractions surrounding the use of personnel working with Student Athletes. A non-coaching staff member participated in on-court activities over the last four seasons as well as a ‘strength and conditioning coach’ also working with student athletes exceeding the limit of four coaches.

Head Coach Dana Altman is blamed for both instances and not ‘promoting an atmosphere of compliance.’

Oregon Response To NCAA Notice Of Allegations

The Oregon Women’s Basketball team has similar instances with Head Coach Kelly Graves with an assistant strength and conditioning coach participating in on-court activities and being accused of not ‘promoting an atmosphere of compliance.’

For the basketball programs the violations are considered Level II.
