Oregon Ducks Early Run Leads To Win vs Washington State

An early 14-2 run gave the Oregon Ducks the lead and they never looked back with four scoring in double figures in a win vs Washington State.

The Oregon Women’s Basketball team entered Pac-12 play facing a Washington State team that ranked in the Top 15 in the Country in Offensive Rebounds. Oregon ranked 4th in scoring averaging 88 points per game.

The Ducks opened the game exerting dominance with Lexi Bando going 3 for 3 from the floor pushing an early lead with a 14-2 run and 6 straight field goals. Washington State started the game 1 for 8 with 4 turnovers in the first quarter.

Oregon ended the 1st Quarter holding WSU to 1 for 3 shooting from three-point range leading 20-7. Washington State had 11 turnovers to the Ducks 6 in the first half.

Ruthy Hebard had 15 points at halftime as the Ducks pushed their lead to 41-23. Hebard also had 6 rebounds. The Ducks were outrebounding Washington State 22-15 at the break.

Oregon continued to extend their lead in the third quarter. Ruthy Hebard and Sabrina Ionescu were in double digits early in the third quarter. The Ducks extended their lead to 59-39 with 2:25 left in the quarter. With a minute left in the quarter, Kelly Graves loaded up with bench players. Sabrina Ionescu was the lone starter remaining in the game. Oregon took a 69-48 lead into the 4th Quarter.
