Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball hosts Washington to close out the year with a milestone in mind.

The Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball team are getting off to fast starts this season and leaving the competition behind. On Friday against Washington State, it was an early 14-2 run that led to Sabrina Ionescu and Ruthy Hebard ending with 25 points each respectively and picking up their first Pac-12 Conference win of the season vs Washington State.

Next up is Washington. The Huskies lost their Conference Opener in Corvallis on Friday vs Oregon State 75-63 but bring some Offensive Talent to Eugene. Amber Melgoza has been the Huskies points leader this season averaging 22 over her last four games. For the season Melgoza is averaging just under 16 points per contest.

Washington brings one of the better three-shooting players in the Pac-12 into the matchup with Oregon. Jenna Moser is hitting from 44 percent beyond the arc. If the game becomes close in the fourth quarter, expect the contest to possibly come down to Moser vs the Oregon Ducks Lexi Bando who is a career shooter at 45 percent.

The turnover battle could be key. Washington is one of the best in the country at forcing turnovers, averaging 18 per game on opponents.

Sabrina Ionescu continues to flirt with a double-double or better every game. She came close against Washington State but did not play late with a gaining Oregon lead. She is hitting 51 percent from three-point range and 48 percent from the floor leading four players in double figures with 18 points per game.

The Oregon Ducks have some added incentive. With a win on Sunday Head Coach Kelly Graves will reach the 500th win of his coaching career. Graves has built an Offensive Machine with the Ducks winning by an average of 26 points and putting up close to 90 points per game this season.
