The Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball team(14-2, 3-0 Pac-12) face an experienced UCLA Bruins(11-3, 2-1) team on Sunday.

Oregon Head Coach Kelly Graves has been here before. The UCLA Bruins are one of the top tier Women’s Programs in the Pac-12 and with a win Sunday, Oregon can claim a 4-0 start, a first in nearly 20 years. There is a lot on the line for both teams.

UCLA is off to a 2-1 Pac-12 start and dominated Oregon State on Friday holding the Beavers to 2 for 12 from three-point range. Jordin Canada and Monique Billings are putting up over 15 points per game each respectively.

For the Ducks, Sabina Ionescu is always the one to watch. On Friday she did not have her best game, but still managed 18 points after hitting 9 of 10 from the free throw line. Maite Cazorla cleaned up with 18 points of her own to go with six assists in a win over USC.

The Trojans fought the whole game. It was the Ducks first single-digit win of the year after typically blowing out opponents for double-digit wins. UCLA is solid inside hitting 44 percent but lack a real presence outside landing just over 30 percent from three-point range.

Oregon has been firing on all cylinders this season. The Ducks average 90 points per game, are hitting 40 percent from the field and over 50 percent beyond the arc. They have multiple weapons that can get the job done from the outside including Ionescu, Cazorla, and Lexi Bando. After a slow start in the non-conference schedule, Bando has come on of late. A Freshman is also making noise.

Satou Sabally has earned a place in the Starting Lineup and has improved every game this season. She is confident in her shots and is putting up not only points but also limiting turnovers. Sabally also provides an additional outlet to the basket. She could play a big role vs UCLA.
