Oregon Ducks Hold Off Arizona State On The Road

The Oregon Ducks played their best game of the season on the road against Arizona State.

Head Coach Dana Altman gave praise to the team following the upset win over Arizona State Thursday night. Transfer Elijah Brown had the key shot with about five minutes remaining. He hit a three-pointer that gave the Ducks the lead. They would fight to keep the lead for the victory, the first loss at home for the Sundevils this season.

Payton Pritchard had 18 points after ending the game against Oregon State missing ten shots. Kenny Wooten found early foul trouble against ASU, but Roman Sorkin played his role perfectly picking up 14 points for the game. Arizona State forced the Ducks into foul trouble early, MiKyle McIntosh played his best game as a Duck.

McIntosh put in 35 minutes scoring a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds shooting 6 for 13 from the floor. The Oregon Ducks outrebounded Arizona State 38 to 31 and cleaned up inside with 38 points in the paint.

The Oregon Defense held Tra Holder to 14 points. Both teams shot 43 percent, and Oregon made the most of their free throws in the second half for the 76-72 win. James Harden was honored during the game for his contributions at Arizona State(before the beard) and the road team took a big win over the 11th ranked Sundevils.

The road trip for Oregon continues against 17th ranked Arizona on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 11 am Pacific Time on ESPN2.
