The Oregon Ducks host the Arizona Wildcats who are looking for their first Pac-12 win on the road.

Oregon is coming off a very successful road trip to the Los Angeles Area, sweeping USC and UCLA for the first time in program history on the road. The wins moved Oregon up a spot in the AP Poll from 9th to 8th entering the week. The task this week includes the Arizona Schools.

Arizona has opened league play 0-4 and are looking for the upset on Friday night at Matthew Knight Arena. The Wildcats are averaging just over 60 points per game and will need some turnovers to keep pace with Oregon who is putting up closer to 90 points per game this season. JaLea Bennett is the player to watch for Arizona.

The Senior is averaging 15 points and 5 rebounds per game. Destiny Graham leads the team in rebounds per game with 6. Freshman Sam Thomas in 13 games has been a key for the Wildcats. She is the only player to be in the Top 10 Rankings of the Pac-12 Conference in rebounding, blocks, and steals. She has also had three double rebounding games in her young career.

While Arizona is a team that is struggling in the standings with a 4-11 record, they cannot be overlooked. The team has talent and could have a solid game against Oregon. The Ducks need to limit foul trouble, make their free throws and play back on Defense. Oregon must not get caught looking ahead to Sunday’s Pac-12 Showdown with Arizona State.
