Oregon Ducks vs USC Trojans Cheat Sheet
The Oregon Ducks are looking for back to back wins against the USC Trojans on Thursday night at Matthew Knight Arena.
Oregon has won 14 straight games against the USC Trojans according to SERCenter. In order for Oregon to make it 15 wins, players will need to show the experience they gained on the road last weekend against Arizona and Arizona State. Freshman Kenny Wooten did not have a good two games.
Wooten will need to continue his Jordan Bell-esque play against USC. The Freshman is a key player inside on Defense for the Oregon Ducks this season and his numbers are impressive. Wooten has 51 blocks already this season and is moving quickly up the Single Season list at Oregon. With two more blocks, he will enter the Top 5.
USC enters the game with a chip on their shoulder to go with a better record. The Trojans have never won at Matthew Knight Arena. They come in hitting 39 percent from beyond the arc, the best in the Pac-12 Conference. The Trojans have also picked up their play on Defense this season holding their last five opponents under 42 percent. The team has also had 89 steals and forced 45 turnovers in the same span.
The Trojans have four players averaging double figures with Chimezie Metu leading the way with 16 points per game. Metu is hitting 53 percent from the floor. Benny Boatwright is right behind with 15 points per game. Boatwright is the bigger threat and more experienced player. Metu and Boatwright combine for the majority of the rebounds for the USC Trojans.
