Oregon Ducks Sabrina Ionescu and Maite Cazorla keyed the win over the Utah Utes 84-68

The Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball team entered the game against Utah without Lexi Bando. Maite Cazorla was injured Friday night against Colorado. Following the game Head Coach Kelly Graves said she would be out ‘for a while.’ The injury was not as bad as previously thought. Cazorla was in the Starting Lineup on Sunday against Utah.

The Ducks jumped out to a fast start against Utah. Cazorla showed that her hand was just fine scoring a team-high 21 points. She was 8 for 11 from the floor and a perfect 5 for 5 from three-point range. While it was an impressive Offensive Performance, she was topped by Sabrina Ionescu.

Ionescu had 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists for the ninth triple-double for her career. The Oregon Sophomore has shattered the pace leading the Nation in the Category.

The Oregon Ducks had 20 Assists and 10 Steals. Oregon hit 67 percent from three-point range off 10 for 15 shooting. Both teams had a bad number of turnovers. The Utes led the game for a total of 18 seconds. Freshman Satou Sabally earned another start and was consistent with 15 points. She shot 5 for 10 from the floor and was 4 for 4 from the free throw line.

Oregon shot 55 percent from the floor holding the Utah Utes to 38 percent and just 26 percent from beyond the arc. Despite turnovers, the Ducks did what was needed to win the game, 84-68.
