There are more than a handful of former Oregon Players playing at the Professional level and Head Coach Dana Altman has remained in touch with all of them.

Oregon Basketball Head Coach Dana Altman keeps in touch with his former players, but not so much by text, but over the phone. In a conversation with the media after the win over Oregon State on Saturday,

Altman said he keeps current with former players that played under him at Oregon, “Everybody texts. I like to talk to guys. I talked to Jordan – he said his ankle is getting better. Dylan, I did talk to him this week. He’s so excited about making the Rising Stars Game(NBA All-Star Weekend).

The success on the floor that Oregon has had over the last seven seasons resonates at the next level, “Almost all the guys who have played here the last seven years is playing somewhere.” Altman is closer to his most recent players including Dylan Brooks who he seems to be following on a more regular basis. Brooks has earned his spot as a Starter with the Memphis Grizzlies. “He’s had a great opportunity and starting most of the year. He’s done a great job.”

Altman tied the Ducks’ past to their Present saying that the current Oregon Players follow the latest string of Ducks to enter the NBA, “They’re following those guys every day. It’s something they all aspire to, it’s something they all want to do. It’s fun to watch those guys.”
