Oregon Ducks Rout California Golden Bears, Remain Undefeated At Home

The Oregon Ducks brought momentum and plenty of baskets against Cal for their 14th straight home win at Matthew Knight Arena.

Maite Cazorla played a key role and Sabrina Ionescu and Ruthy Hebard put Oregon above 50 percent shooting from the floor. Ionescu led the way with 28 points and 11 assists for the game finishing with a double-double. Hebard joined her with a double-double of her own scoring 18 points with 11 rebounds in a rout of Cal 91-54. Thirty-seven points are the largest margin the Ducks have won by so far this season.

Coach Kelly Graves again continued to use his bench and get his players experience in a Pac-12 game that was over before it started. After the Ducks made an early adjustment, Oregon held Cal to 32 percent shooting overall and forced the Golden Bears to just 38 percent shooting from the floor and 28 percent from three-point range.

Oregon outrebounded Cal 40 to 28. The Ducks turned 13 turnovers into 21 points.

Oregon Ducks Junior Maite Cazorla had just five points and cooled off from her previous two games, but dished out six assists. The win gave sixth-ranked Oregon their 20th victory of the season. The Ducks are now 9-1 in the Pac-12 Conference and face a big test at home on Sunday facing their second ranked opponent in two days with the Stanford Cardinal coming to Matthew Knight Arena.
