Oregon Ducks Three-Game Winning Streak Snapped At Stanford

The Oregon Ducks fell behind early and were not able to catch up vs the Stanford Cardinal.

Stanford was ready for Oregon and to put an 8-1 Pac-12 record on the line. They picked up their ninth Conference win over the Ducks shooting well early at a 70 percent clip while holding Oregon to just over 30 percent. The bright spot for Oregon was Troy Brown.

The Freshman has another solid road performance with 15 points shooting 6 for 8 from the floor with 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and one three-point shot. Elijah Brown finished 4 for 13 from the field and 2 for 9 from beyond the arc. Stanford outrebounded Oregon 34-21 and posted an efficient with 42 fast break points and 18 assists. The Cardinal hit 63 percent for the game.

The Oregon Ducks shot just 30 percent from three-point range. Stanford was very efficient from the free throw line at 82 percent hitting 14 of 17 shots. Oregon attempted just 9 free throws for the game in the 96-61 loss. Stanford had 19 of their 34 rebounds in the second half pulling away from Oregon.

The Cardinal finished with three players in double figures led by Pickens with 25 points shooting 9 for 11 from short range and 5 for 6 from three-point range.

With the loss in the cards for Oregon midway through the second half, Head Coach Dana Altman shifted his lineup getting Freshman into the game. Michael Cage and Victor Bailey Jr. picked up valuable minutes that could pay off for the final nine games of the regular season.
