The Oregon Ducks played as a team for the better part of sixty minutes but fell flat in an Overtime loss at UCLA, 86-78.

Just like Thursday night against the USC Trojans, the game against the Bruins was a back and forth battle. Oregon managed to stay out of foul trouble for most of the game. UCLA built an 11 point lead into the second half just the foul trouble started for the Bruins. Oregon took advantage starting an 11 point run that put them in control for a final shot for the win in the final seconds.

Head Coach Dana Altman had Payton Pritchard inbound the pass and the ‘team’ that brought the Ducks back in the second half became individuals who had problems with communication falling apart and missing the shot. The game went into Overtime where the Oregon Ducks again were unable to finish a game this season in a road loss to the UCLA Bruins.

UCLA overcame 16 turnovers that Oregon turned into 19 points. The Ducks were outrebounded by 9.

With everything in front of them, Oregon went 0-2 against the LA Schools this weekend. For a team with NCAA Aspirations, the NIT seems more likely. The Ducks have their final two home games of the regular season this week against Arizona and Arizona State. While losses will look bad, wins may not have the same meaning as the season comes to a close.

Payton Pritchard had 23 points and MiKyle McIntosh finished with 19 just one rebound away from a double-double.
