Oregon Ducks Look For Balance vs Arizona State
The Oregon Ducks and Arizona State Sundevils are both 7-7 in the Pac-12 entering their matchup Thursday night.
Last time the Oregon Ducks played the Arizona State Sundevils it was a road win. The victory quickly became what looked like one of the worst wins of the season as ASU fell apart, but the Sundevils rebounded and both teams enter with 7-7 records in the Pac-12 Conference looking to make a move as the season comes to a close next week.
For Oregon, it has been a season of close game losses and working to find consistency. The tea is coming off back to back road losses against USC and UCLA and enters the week facing the Arizona Schools at home looking to end the home slate on a high note.
Tra Holder holds the hot hand on the road for Arizona State. On the road this season he has put up 18 points per game. He has also had four straight 20 point games. Kodi Justice is close to joining the 1000 point club for Arizona State and could do it Thursday night against Oregon. He needs 28 points. Arizona State is also good in the second half.
They are the second best second-half team in the Nation behind Villanova averaging 45 points per game in the second period. ASU is even better when they put up over 80 points per game. If Oregon can limit their turnovers and get some second-chance points limiting mistakes and hold Arizona State under 40 in the first half, their free throws could keep them in the game during the second half.
