Oregon Ducks Caught By Errors At Mary Nutter Classic
The Oregon Ducks(10-2) rediscovered their Offense for at least one game on Thursday beating 18th ranked Oklahoma State before losing to #6 Texas A&M.
Oregon Ducks Starter Miranda Elish threw seven innings giving up four hits and one run. Mia Camuso hit a two-out home run in the bottom of the second. It was the lone opportunity where the Ducks took advantage with two outs in the game, but it was enough.
Oregon cranked out 10 hits in a 4-1 win. Camuso and Shannon Rhodes both went 2 for 3 in the win. The Ducks schedule continued to get tougher with another Top Ten opponent for their second game of the day, but the result would not be the same.
It was a hard-luck 6 2/3 inning outing for Megan Kleist who suffered her second straight loss on the season thanks in part to Oregon Defensive errors. The Ducks outhit Texas A&M with 5 hits in a second game that was tight in the run scoring department. Oregon lost 3-1.
Gwen Svekis had a hit and DJ Sanders coming off a big weekend in Puerto Vallarta last week struck out three times. The Oregon Ducks are going to have good games and bad games and against non-conference opponents, they will be tested this season.
Oregon had 11 assists in the field but two costly errors allowing two A&M runners to score.

The Oregon Ducks continue in the Mary Nutter Classic on Saturday facing 11th ranked Tennessee at Noon followed by a matchup with the #2 team in the world – an exhibition game against the Japan National Team at 5:30 pm Pacific Time.
