The Oregon Ducks host Florida Atlantic University for four games at PK Park starting Friday.

It is the first time meeting for the two programs. FAU travels to Eugene making it the longest distance in program history to play. It should be a good series with both teams on winning streaks. Florida Atlantic has won seven of eight to start the season and the Oregon Ducks are on a three-game winning streak that includes a big home-opening win on Tuesday.

The Seattle Redhawks were no match for Oregon. The Ducks put up 10 runs in the second inning as a steady diet of relievers kept Seattle from crossing home plate. Parker Kelly has been an early surprise for Oregon. The Ducks reliever is 3-0 on the season.

The 7-1 Florida Atlantic University Owls are led at the top of the lineup by Pedro Pages who has a team-leading 12 hits on the season and a .375 batting average. He also has 7 assists on the season. FAU has two Pitching Starters with an Earned Run Average under 1. The first they will face on Friday.

Jake Miednik is 2-0 on the season. He has given up 3 hits and 2 runs in 13 innings. He is holding opponents to a .068 batting average. As a team, FAU is hitting .236 while holding opponents under .200 at the plate.

For Oregon, it was a big win against Seattle on Tuesday. The 14-0 win should be a good springboard into the four-game series against Florida Atlantic. Spencer Steer leads the Ducks with 10 hits as part of what is a very consistent lineup early in the season. The top four hitters have at least 8 hits entering the weekend.

Jakob Goldfarb who missed last season with a toe injury is off to a stellar start with three home runs hitting .333 with 8 hits and 9 RBIs.
