While Oregon Fans wait to hear about Troy Brown, Freshman Kenny Wooten has decided his future will be with the Oregon Ducks

Oregon Ducks Freshman Kenny Wooten showed off his talent in 2017. His ability to block shots opened eyes in the Pac-12 and his game-saving prowess began to grow in the Pac-12 Tournament.

On Wednesday, Kenny Wooten announced on Twitter that he plans on staying at the University of Oregon. He will not even ‘Test The Waters’ of the NBA Draft. For Oregon fans, this is good news. As far as the plans for the Oregon Ducks other Freshman Troy Brown, we will have to wait and see.

All along, I have thought that Brown would get a season of College ball, but that season had an early injury and shots that, at times, did not fall. The 5-Star Prospect may have a better opportunity with a higher NBA Draft slot if he stays in school.

Kenny Wooten played a key role in the Oregon Ducks two-game run in the Pac-12 Tournament. He put his hand on the ball on the final possession against both Washington State and Utah giving Oregon two Pac-12 Tournament wins. The Oregon Ducks lost against the USC Trojans in the Semi-Final Round and made it to the Second Round of the NIT losing to Marquette.

Wooten will benefit from an offseason in the gym at Oregon. He needs to add some weight to his frame and also find a mid-range jumper that fits his style for his Sophomore season. He can already knock down the three-pointer and working with the Oregon Coaching Staff will only help.
