Oregon Ducks Run Rule Arizona State

The Oregon Ducks played a game over two days against the Arizona Wildcats that included a postponement due to rain.

Oregon opened the game with three runs. It started with a Jenna Lilley. Gwen Svekis hit a single to center field putting the Ducks on the board. Miranda Elish got the start for Oregon after throwing a perfect game on Tuesday against Portland State.

Alexis Mack had two hits and run in the game. Oregon was led by Svekis with two runs and two hits.

After a rainout suspended play on Saturday, the game resumed on Sunday at 1 pm. Oregon was up 5-0 heading into the top of the sixth. Carly Campbell got the inning started for Arizona and Miranda Elish picked up where she left off the day before with a strikeout.

Elish would give up a hit in the resumed sixth inning and strikeout the side.

To open the bottom of the inning, Jenna Lilley started with a walk, followed by Alexis Mack with a double. Both would score on an error by the Arizona Shortstop adding to the Oregon lead at 7-0. Two batters later Haley Cruise was at the plate and the Wildcats threw a wild pitch allowing Shannon Rhodes to score from third.

It took less than 20 minutes for the Oregon Ducks to run rule Arizona 8-0. The Ducks hit .370 for the game and held Arizona to .150 at the plate. When the game resumed, Jenna Lilley started the game with a walk as she did at the start of the game on Saturday.
