Oregon Football Spring Practice: Ducks Finding Consistency
Oregon Football enters the final week of Spring Football that will culminate with the Spring Football Game at Autzen Stadium on Saturday.
Oregon returns Starting Quarterback Justin Herbert and with new Head Coach Mario Cristobal in his first season as Head Coach strength and conditioning are key components as the team prepares for the upcoming season, “We’re going to continue practicing…we’re going to jump into two to three conference opponents to get a head start on that.”
While Cristobal and the Coaching Staff have the summer to work with, the team needs to be in the best form possible entering Fall Camp. The Spring Game on Saturday the Ducks will continue to focus on fundamentals.
Cristobal has a passion and a focus for one particular group on the field.
"Football is a passion, but O-Line play and the intricacies that go with that..the nuts and bolts..I know it’s boring to you guys(media) you like watching that ball fly…I love that stuff. While you’re watching the Super Bowl and watching Brady launch those passes I’m watching those guys up front work.”Oregon Football Head Coach Mario Cristobal on his Football Passion"
Considering that games are won and lost in the trenches up front, Oregon Football is in good hands starting the 2018 season with a strong and fundamentally sound group up front.
The Oregon Ducks will be on display on Saturday, but the exact format is still up in the air. There are several players that are ‘banged up’ and may not be available according to Cristobal, “We don’t exactly know how we’re going to do it just because we’re low on bodies.”

I expect the ‘teams’ will be decided as they have been in the past with a ‘Draft Style’ selection process early in the week. The 2018 Oregon Ducks will be on display on Saturday for the Spring Game. Kickoff is set for 2 pm inside Autzen Stadium.
