Can Tony Brooks-James Be The Ducks Feature Running Back?

There are several areas of interest for most fans this weekend. I will focus on Offense. Running Back is one area of focus. With the departure of Royce Freeman, the Ducks will rely on a shifty and fast Tony Brooks-James with two key players behind him. CJ Verdell will be active on Saturday and could very well be the number two back entering the season. Darrian Felix saw time last year and showed good vision on the field. He has not been participating much this Spring and did not play last weekend in the scrimmage in Portland.

The Ducks enter the Spring Game with guys who are ‘banged up’. This phrase will likely replace the word ‘injury’ in the Mario Cristobal Coach Speak Handbook. Felix is in this category.

Travis Dye and Cyrus Habibi-Likio are also in the mix.
