Charles Nelson has several possibilities over the coming weeks, beginning with workouts with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Former Oregon Football Wide Receiver Charles  Nelson will have to put in work over the next few weeks following the start of the Free Agency Signing Period. While he was not selected in the 2018 NFL Draft,

Nelson has the size and speed to at least be considered at the next level. According to his agent, the former Oregon Wide Receiver has been noticed by several teams and has scheduled to workout for at least two over the next few weeks.

The former Oregon Duck will have several opportunities to put his best feet forward with both the Kansas City Chiefs and possibly the Indianapolis Colts. The Chiefs filled positions of need in the NFL Draft. Andy Reid focused all of their picks on the Defensive side of the ball which could give Nelson an opportunity in the upcoming mini-camp later this week.

Nelson has proven he can be versatile not just in the passing game, but also the return game. While with the Ducks he was the primary punt returner for nearly half the Oregon Possessions in his Junior year with the team.

If he misses his chance with Kansas City, he will head to Indianapolis who had ten selections for the 2018 NFL Draft. Nelson will have more competition with the Colts. While the team is figuring out their Quarterback situation that surrounds Andrew Luck, the team drafted two Wide Receivers throughout the three days of the Draft. Nelson knows how to work hard and what it takes to succeed.

Even if he finds himself on a Practice Squad, the will have the opportunity to build his skill set at the Wide Receiver position.
